philips pavilion
for the 1958 expo in brussels the philips corporation wanted to create a pavilion to demonstrate its technology. the pavilion would be an artwork in itself, an overall integration of that technology. the french architect le corbusier was selected for the assignment.

new de young
the de new young museum re-opened in a new facility designed by suiss architects herzog & de meuron. the former facility on the same site, was damaged by the 1989 loma prieta earthquake. a torsing tower characterizes the museum loacated in san francisco.

coast parks in barcelona
images of the auditorium park by foreign office architects and coast park by abalos and herreros have been added to the gallery section. both parks were designed for the forum 2004 organized in barcelona. the port in between them is still under construction.

phaeno by zaha hadid
after a construction period of more than four years the phaeno building, breaking with many conventions has been hand over on the 24th of november. phæno is so far the largest construction in selfconsolidating concrete built in europe. phaeno is an initative of the city of wolfsburg.
