INFORMATION

The artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner lived the last twenty years of his live in Davos. Private funds made it possible to built a museum designed by Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer.

The building looks like a cristaline structure of 4 exposition galleries. Natural light enters these spaces from above and can be compensated with indirect artificial light. The space between the galleries is in concrete, in contrast to the 4 white boxes. It serves as circulation space and the main lobby of the museum.

HOW TO VISIT

by car
from Zürich: Autobahn A3/A13 direction Chur till Landquart.
from Landquart take the Kantonsstrasse 28 to Davos.
in Davos follow the Hauptstrasse) till Davos Platz.
300m after the congress centre on your left side.

by public transport
Railway: Station Davos Dorf or Davos Platz
